Projects

KCIS is studying ways to help improve the lives of people living on or below the poverty line in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, etc., while at the same time helping to maintain or improve the environment.

These projects allow the participants to improve their lives through their own hard work, the KCIS provides the means to do this, materials, training, start-up funding, to allow these people to work for a better life, with dignity.

We are studying various ideas that can improve quality of life and health.

We will soon be putting our ideas into practice by building a model shamba in Kisii, SW Kenya, [River Cottage Kenya] using our alternative technology methods of providing:

• Clean water
• Rain water collection
• Alternative cooking fuel
• Fertiliser production
• Bio-diesel for vehicles
